Caution
• When replacing the dash-electrical supply unit, perform the configuration to assure that the system operates correctly. (See CONFIGURATION.)

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)

2.Remove the following parts:

(1)Glove compartment (without passenger-side knee air bag module) (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(6)Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)].)
(7)Passenger-side knee air bag module (with passenger-side knee air bag module) (See KNEE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – US/CANADA SPEC.].)

3.Disconnect the connectors.

4.Remove the screws.

5.Remove the dash-electrical supply unit.

6.Install in the reverse order of removal.

7.If the dash-electrical supply unit is replaced, perform the following procedure.

(1)Perform manual configuration using the following procedure.
1)Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
2)Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
3)Perform vehicle identification.
4)Select [Configuration] using the M-MDS.
5)Select [DASH_ESU].
6)Perform manual configuration following the instructions on the screen.
(2)Switch the ignition OFF.
(3)Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) to complete the dash-electrical supply unit automatic configuration.
(4)Clear the DTC. (See CLEARING DTC.)
