In addition, the system is not designed to compensate for a driver\u2019s lack of caution, and over-reliance on the system could lead to an accident.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 The functions of the lane-keep assist system have limitations. Always stay on course using the steering wheel and drive with care.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 Do not use the lane-keep assist system under the following circumstances, otherwise it may result in an accident.<\/div>\n<dl>\n<dd class=\"list\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The vehicle is driven on slippery roads such as icy or snow-covered roads, and unpaved roads<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Tires of a different specified size are used, such as a temporary spare tire<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Tires with insufficient tread are used<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The tire pressures are not adjusted to the specified pressure<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The vehicle is being used to tow a camper or boat trailer<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Tire chains are used<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The vehicle is driven on roads with lane lines other than white (yellow) lines, such as an expressway<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention2-label\">Caution<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention2\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 Heed the following cautions so that the lane-keep assist system can operate normally.<\/div>\n<dl>\n<dd class=\"list\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Do not modify the vehicle\u2019s suspensions<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Always use wheels of the specified type and size for the front and rear wheels.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3-label\">Note<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 The lane-keep assist system may not operate normally under the following conditions.<\/div>\n<dl>\n<dd class=\"list\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The white (yellow) lane lines are less visible because of dirt or paint flaking<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The white (yellow) lane lines are less visible because of bad weather (rain, fog, or snow)<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The vehicle is driven on a temporary lane or section with a closed lane resulting from construction where there might be multiple white (yellow) lane lines, or they are interrupted<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The camera picks up an obscure line, such as a temporary line being used for construction, or because of shade, unmelted snow, or grooves filled with water<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The surrounding brightness suddenly changes such as when entering or exiting a tunnel<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Back-light is reflected off the road surface<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The road surface is wet and shiny after rain, or there are puddles on the road<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The width of a lane is excessively narrow<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The vehicle is driven on roads with tight curves<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Heavy luggage is loaded in the luggage compartment or on the rear seat causing the vehicle to tilt<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The vehicle is driven through a fork in the road or a junction<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The shade of a guardrail parallel to a white (yellow) lane lines is cast on the road<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The illumination of the headlights is weakened because of dirt or the optical axis is deviated at night<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The road is excessively uneven<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The vehicle is shaken after hitting a road bump<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 A vehicle in front of your vehicle is running near a white (yellow) lane line making it less visible<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The windshield is dirty or foggy<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Strong light is directed from the front of the vehicle (such as sunlight, or headlights (high-beam) of on-coming vehicles)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"id1510000030a302\" id=\"id1510000030a302\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"servinfosub-title\">Structural View<\/p>\n<table class=\"figure-flame-non\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<table class=\"figure-non-float\" cellspacing=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/assets\/am3zzn00008300.png\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div class=\"figure-caption\">am3zzn00008300<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"id1510000030a303\" id=\"id1510000030a303\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"servinfosub-title\">Functions<\/p>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 The body control module (BCM) and EPS control module performs the steering wheel operation assist and activates the lane-keep assist system based on the white lines (yellow lines) recognized by the forward sensing camera (FSC). id=\"id1510000030a304\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"topic-title\">Steering wheel operation assist<\/p>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 When the system determines that the vehicle might be deviating from its lane, the steering wheel operation assist operates.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 The system notifies the driver of the direction in which the system provided steerng wheel operation assistance on the multi-information display.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"id1510000030a305\" id=\"id1510000030a305\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p the left or right<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 DSC is on<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 Even if the lane-keep assist system is on, the lane-keep assist system goes on stand-by under any of the following conditions.<\/div>\n<dl>\n<dd class=\"list\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Vehicle speed is <span>less than approx. 56 km\/h {35 mph}<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The system cannot detect white (yellow) lane lines (left and right)<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The DSC\/TSC is operating<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The DSC is turned off<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 The lane-keep assist system determines that the driver is performing the following driving operations, and suppresses the steering wheel operation assist.<\/div>\n<dl>\n<dd class=\"list\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The turn switch is operated.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Avoidance maneuver is performed or the vehicle lane is changed.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The accelerator pedal is depressed a certain amount or more.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 The brake pedal is depressed.<\/p>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div
