Purpose, Function<\/p>\n

Accelerator pedal<\/div>\n
\u2022 The accelerator pedal transmits the driver\u2019s intentions to the PCM.<\/div>\n
Kickdown switch<\/div>\n
\u2022 To prevent the driver from fully depressing the accelerator pedal by mistake, the kickdown switch causes vehicle shock (resistance) to occur while the accelerator pedal is being depressed to alert the driver that the accelerator pedal is at near 100% full-open throttle.<\/div>\n

Kickdown Switch<\/p>\n

\u2022 Resistance can be felt while the accelerator pedal is being depressed. The accelerator pedal opening angle reaches 100% by further depressing the pedal. This resistance is an approximate indication of the kickdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
