\u2022 Highly pressurized fuel may spray out if the fuel line is cut. Due to the following dangers occurring with a fuel spray, always complete the \u201cFuel Line Safety Procedure\u201d to prevent the fuel from spraying.<\/div>\n

\u2015 Fuel may cause irritation if it comes in contact with skin and eyes.<\/div>\n
\u2015 If fuel ignites and causes a fire, it may lead to serious injury or death, and damage to property and facilities.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\u2022 A person charged with static electricity could cause a fire or explosion, resulting in death or serious injury. Before performing work on the fuel system, discharge static electricity by touching the vehicle body.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

\u2022 Disconnecting\/connecting the quick release connector without cleaning it may cause damage to the fuel pipe and quick release connector. Always clean the quick release connector joint area before disconnecting\/connecting using a cloth or soft brush, and make sure that it is free of foreign material.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

Fuel Gauge Sender Unit (Sub)<\/p>\n

1.Complete the \u201cBEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION\u201d. (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u2022 If the fuel gauge level indicates 8\/16 or more, refer to the [FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE] and drain the fuel.(See FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3.Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

4.Remove the screws.<\/p>\n

5.Remove the service hole cover.<\/p>\n

6.Disconnect the connector.<\/p>\n

8.Install the SST<\/span> shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

1.Align the reinforcement part of the set plate component near the pipe area of the fuel pump unit as shown in the figure and assemble.<\/p>\n
