1.Remove the drain plug and washer, and drain the oil. (See DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Install a new washer and the drain plug, and tighten.<\/p>\n

3.Remove the rear drive shaft. (See REAR DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

4.Remove the oil seal from the differential casing using a screwdriver.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Wrap the end of a screwdriver with cloth to prevent scratches to the inside of the differential casing.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

5.Apply differential oil to the new oil seal lip.<\/p>\n

\n

6.Install the new oil seal to the differential carrier using the SST<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Install the oil seal at a straight angle.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

7.Install the rear drive shaft. (See REAR DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

8.Remove the oil filler plug and washer, and then add the recommended differential oil. (See DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

9.After adding the oil, perform an oil level inspection. (See DIFFERENTIAL OIL INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

10.Install a new washer and the oil filler plug, and tighten.<\/p>\n
