\u2022 If the rear side radar sensor is installed at an incorrect angle, the rear side radar sensor cannot detect obstructions and the system may not operate normally. When installing the rear side radar sensor, verify that there is no damage or deformation to the installation part (rear bumper) and perform the installation correctly.<\/div>\n
\u2022 If the rear side radar sensor gets hit, the rear side radar sensor angle could change and obstructions cannot be detected correctly which could result in an accident. In this case, always verify the DTC, perform the rear side radar sensor aiming adjustment, and verify that the installation angle is deviated.(See FRONT SIDE\/REAR SIDE RADAR SENSOR AIMING<\/a>.)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

(2)Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n

(3)Rear package tray (5HB) (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(4)Trunk side upper trim (5HB) (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(5)Rear combination light (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

(6)Rear splash shield (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n

3.Remove the nuts.<\/p>\n

4.Disconnect the connector.<\/p>\n

5.Remove the rear side radar sensor.<\/p>\n

6.Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear Side Radar Sensor Installation Note<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

7.Perform the rear side radar sensor aiming. (See FRONT SIDE\/REAR SIDE RADAR SENSOR AIMING<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

1.Install the rear side radar sensor with the printed surface pointed towards the rear bumper face.<\/p>\n
