Perform the following procedure before performing the aiming.<\/div>\n<dl>\n<dd class=\"list\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Verify that there is no water, mud, soiling or sticker adhesion on the windshield, and that there is nothing on the camera lens such as dust or soiling.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 Driving the vehicle for a total of <span>5 to 10 min<\/span> under the following conditions is necessary to complete mid-drive aiming (dynamic aiming). However, driving the vehicle while matching the conditions does not have to be continuous.<\/div>\n<dl>\n<dd class=\"list\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Drive the vehicle at a vehicle speed of <span>40 km\/h {25 mph} or more<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Drive the vehicle on a straight road (road with a turning radius of <span>300 m {984 ft 3 in} or more<\/span>)<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Drive the vehicle on a road with lane markers and structures (buildings and signs)<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Drive the vehicle on a road with a level surface (not rough or inclined roads)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 Mid-drive aiming (dynamic aiming) may not complete in an environment where any of the following conditions continues.<\/div>\n<dl>\n<dd class=\"list\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Inclement weather caused by snow, rain, or fog<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Windshield washer is being used or wipers are not used during rain<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Exhaust gas from the vehicle ahead, sand or snow, or smoke and water-spray caused by steam from manholes rise up from the road<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Vehicle is driven with significantly worn tires<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Vehicle is driven downhill or on extremely rough or uneven roads<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Area is dark such as at nighttime or evening, early morning, and in a tunnel or indoor parking<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Headlight lens is dirty or its optical axis is deviated, or the headlights are not bright enough<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Vehicle is subjected to strong light (driving towards the sun or high-beams) from the vehicle front<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Vehicle is driven with tire chains or a spare tire equipped<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Vehicle is driven downhill or on extremely rough or uneven roads<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 Perform stationary aiming (static aiming) when mid-drive aiming (dynamic aiming) is not performed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"id15200000230001\" id=\"id15200000230001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"servinfosub-title\">Aiming Procedure<\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"id15200000230002\" id=\"id15200000230002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"topic-title\">Mid-drive aiming (Dynamic aiming)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">1.Empty the vehicle by having all occupants leave the vehicle and remove all the cargo except for the spare tire, jack and tools.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">2.Adjust the air pressure of each tire to the specified value. (See <a href=\"SM2334985\">WHEEL AND TIRE SPECIFICATION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">3.Move the vehicle to level ground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">4.Connect the M-MDS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">5.Perform the DTC inspection for the FSC using the M-MDS and verify that no DTCs other than B14F0:04, B14F0:76 are displayed. (See <a href=\"SM2337315\">DTC INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3-label\">Note<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3 list\">\u2022 Because DTC B14F0:04, B14F0:76 is output if aiming is not performed, continue to perform the FSC aiming if only B14F0:04, B14F0:76 is output. (See <a href=\"SM2566486\">DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)]<\/a>.)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p class=\"list\">6.After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the M-MDS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">1. &#8220;Toolbox&#8221;<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">2. &#8220;Work Support&#8221;<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">3. &#8220;i-ACTIVSENSE&#8221;<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">4. &#8220;Dynamic aiming&#8221;<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">5. &#8220;Dynamic aiming for FSC&#8221;<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p class=\"list\">7.Perform the FSC aiming procedure according to the directions on the M-MDS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3-label\">Note<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 When in mid-drive aiming (dynamic aiming) mode, the i-ACTIVSENSE warning light turns on.<\/p>\n<table class=\"figure-flame\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"10mm\"><\/td>\n<td>\n<table class=\"figure-float\" cellspacing=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/assets\/am3zzw00029521.png\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div class=\"figure-caption\">am3zzw00029521<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 Instruction &#8220;Forward Sensing Camera Calibration Mode&#8221; can be displayed on instrument cluster.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 M-MDS can be removed or left connected to the vehicle during the mid-drive aiming (dynamic aiming) road drive.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p class=\"list\">8.Drive the vehicle on a road and verify that the message in the multi-information display is no longer displayed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3-label\">Note<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3 list\">\u2022 When completing the mid-drive aiming, &#8220;i-ACTIVSENSE Temporarily Disabled&#8221; may be displayed for <span>5 s<\/span> on the multi-information display while the forward sensing camera (FSC) system restores, but the mid-drive aiming is completed.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"id15200000230003\" id=\"id15200000230003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"topic-title\">Stationary aiming (Static aiming)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">1.Empty the vehicle by having all occupants leave the vehicle and remove all the cargo except for the spare tire, jack and tools.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">2.Adjust the air pressure of each tire to the specified value.
