\u2022 The AFS control module prior to replacement stores the vehicle specification information.<\/div>\n
\u2022 A new AFS control module does not store any vehicle specification information.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The AFS control module records the vehicle attitude angle while it is unoccupied.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The new AFS control module does not record the vehicle attitude angle while it is unoccupied.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The AFS control module reads the vehicle attitude angle information and records the vehicle attitude angle while it is unoccupied when the headlight auto leveling system initial setting is performed after the AFS control module is replaced.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Even if the battery is disconnected, the unoccupied vehicle attitude angle recorded by the AFS control module is not erased.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the front scuff plate (RH). (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Remove the front side trim (RH). (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.While pressing tabs of the bracket in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, pull the AFS control module connector in the direction of arrow (2) to pull out the AFS control module from the bracket.<\/p>\n

5.Disconnect the connector and remove the AFS control module.<\/p>\n

\n

6.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n

\n

7.Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and perform the AFS control module automatic configuration.<\/p>\n

\n

8.Clear the DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

9.If the AFS control module is replaced with a new one, perform the headlight auto leveling system initialization. (See HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n
