Introduction<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Bluetooth \u00ae<\/sup> pairing procedure differs depending on the version of the Bluetooth \u00ae<\/sup>-enabled device. Ask the customer in advance what the Bluetooth \u00ae<\/sup>-enabled device’s version was when the Bluetooth \u00ae<\/sup> pairing was performed.<\/div>\n

\u2022 A maximum of five Bluetooth-enabled devices can be programmed to one vehicle.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

If Bluetooth-enabled device is version 2.1 and later<\/p>\n

1.Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).<\/p>\n

2.Select “Settings” from the home screen of the center display.<\/p>\n

\n

3.Select the following on the center display.<\/p>\n

\n

1. [Connectivity Settings]<\/div>\n
2. [Bluetooth]<\/div>\n
3. Bluetooth setting ON<\/div>\n
4. [Pair New Device]<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

4.Verify that the device name (Mazda) and the 6-digit password are displayed on the center display and Bluetooth\u00ae<\/sup>-enabled device.<\/p>\n

\u2022 When “Pair New Device” is selected, the connectivity master unit (CMU) \/audio control unit (ACU) \/display audio (DA) searches for a Bluetooth \u00ae<\/sup>-enabled device. If the connectivity master unit (CMU) \/audio control unit (ACU) \/display audio (DA) detects a Bluetooth \u00ae<\/sup>-enabled device, a 6-digit code is displayed in the center display.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

5.Verify that “Pairing complete Connection complete” is indicated in the center display.<\/p>\n

If Bluetooth\u00ae<\/sup>-enabled device is version 2.0<\/p>\n

6.Verify that “Pairing complete Connection complete”is indicated in the center display.<\/p>\n
