Windshield Wiper Blade Removal\/Installation<\/p>\n

1.Move the windshield wipers to the service positions using the following procedure.<\/p>\n

(1)Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).<\/dd>\n

\n
(2)Switch the ignition OFF.<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(3)Push the windshield wiper switch up towards the MIST position 2 times within 30 s<\/span> after the ignition is switched OFF.<\/dd>\n

2.Raise the windshield wiper arm.<\/p>\n

\u2022 If the windshield wiper arm end is placed directly on the windshield after removing the windshield wiper blade, it could scratch the windshield. If the windshield wiper arm end is to be placed on the windshield, place it on a clean cloth to protect the windshield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.While pressing the windshield wiper arm tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the windshield wiper blade in the direction of arrow (2) and remove the windshield wiper blade from the windshield wiper arm.<\/p>\n

4.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n

5.Move the windshield wiper to the initial position using the following procedure.<\/p>\n

(1)Slowly let down the windshield wiper arm onto the windshield.<\/dd>\n

\n
(2)Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

(3)Push the windshield wiper switch up towards the MIST position 1 time.<\/dd>\n

Windshield Wiper Blade Rubber Removal\/Installation<\/p>\n

1.Remove the windshield wiper blade. (See Windshield Wiper Blade Removal\/Installation<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Pull the windshield wiper blade rubber in the direction of arrow and slide it to a position where the blade holder groove can be checked.<\/p>\n

3.Pull the end of the windshield wiper blade rubber from the blade holder groove in the direction of arrow (1) and remove the windshield wiper blade rubber from the blade holder.<\/p>\n
