1.Affix protective tape to the position shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3.Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

4.Disconnect the connector and remove the wiring harness from the hook.<\/p>\n

5.Remove the caps.<\/p>\n

7.Tie a string to the liftgate striker and the liftgate latch, and secure the liftgate with it half opened.<\/p>\n

8.Insert a remover tool in the position shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

9.Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and disengage the rear spoiler from the T-stud.<\/p>\n

10.Insert a remover tool in the position shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

11.Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and disengage the rear spoiler clip from the liftgate.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Remove the rear spoiler using two people. Otherwise, it may fall off and be damaged.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

12.Pull the rear spoiler in the direction of the arrows and remove it while detaching the pins and clips.<\/p>\n

13.While holding the rear spoiler by hand, press the tabs of the grommet from the underside of the liftgate shown in the figure, and disengage the grommet tabs from the liftgate.<\/p>\n

14.Remove the rear spoiler while pulling out the wiring harness.<\/p>\n
