Vehicle Exterior<\/p>\n

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the trunk lid handle. (See TRUNK LID HANDLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Remove the trunk lid trim. (See TRUNK LID TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Disconnect the connector.<\/p>\n

5.Remove the nuts.<\/p>\n

6.While pressing the grommet tabs in the directions of arrows (1) shown in the figure, press them out in the direction of arrow (2) to detach them from the trunk lid, and remove the grommet from the trunk lid.<\/p>\n

7.Remove the mascot base component.<\/p>\n
