1.Fully lower the rear door glass.<\/p>\n

\n

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3.Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

\n

\n
(1)Power window subswitch (rear) (See POWER WINDOW SUBSWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(2)Rear door trim (See REAR DOOR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(3)Rear inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(4)Rear door quarter glass (See REAR DOOR QUARTER GLASS REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

4.Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

5.Connect the power window subswitch connector.<\/p>\n

\n

6.Perform the rear door glass preparation. (See Rear Door Glass Preparation<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Before removing the rear door glass, the removal procedure for the rear door glass installation bolt can be facilitated by adjusting the top of the rear door glass to the position approx. 75 mm {3.0 in} (4SD) or approx. 50 mm {2.0 in} (5HB)<\/span> away from the upper part of the rear beltline molding.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

7.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

8.Disconnect the power window subswitch connector.<\/p>\n

\u2022 If the bolt is removed without supporting the rear door glass, the rear door glass may fall off and be damaged. Remove the bolt while inserting your hand into the service hole cover No.2 installation hole to support the rear door glass.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

9.Remove the bolt.<\/p>\n

10.Hold the upper part of the rear door glass while supporting the rear door glass from the service hole cover No.2 installation hole with your hand.<\/p>\n

11.Lift the rear door glass in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, shift the hand which is supporting the rear door glass from the service hole cover No.2 installation hole to the upper part of the rear door glass, then pull it in the direction of arrow (3) while tilting it in the direction of arrow (2) shown, and remove it from the rear door.<\/p>\n

\n

12.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n

\n

13.Perform the power window system initialization procedure. (with auto open\/auto close function) (See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE<\/a>.)<\/p>\n
