1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

(1)Windshield wiper arm and blade (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n

\n
(2)Cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(3)Windshield wiper motor (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(4)Side cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

3.Disconnect the connectors.<\/p>\n

4.Remove wiring harness clips A.<\/p>\n

5.Remove wiring harness clip B. (with windshield wiper de-icer)<\/p>\n

\n

6.Open the vacuum hose clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and remove the vacuum hose in the direction of arrow (2).<\/p>\n

7.Remove the bolts shown in the figure in the order of (1), (2) and (3).<\/p>\n

8.Remove the cowl panel.<\/p>\n

9.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
