\u2022 Handling the pressure sensor improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the pressure sensor. (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – US\/CANADA SPEC.]<\/a>.) (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – US\/CANADA SPEC.]<\/a>.)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more<\/span>. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Remove the front door trim. (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

4.Disconnect the pressure sensor connector.<\/p>\n

5.While pressing the tab in the direction of arrow (1), rotate the pressure sensor in the direction of arrows (2).<\/p>\n

6.Remove the pressure sensor.<\/p>\n

7.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n

8.Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).<\/p>\n

\n

9.Verify that the air bag\/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s<\/span> and turns off.<\/p>\n
