2.Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY<\/a>.) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3.Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

\u2022 If moisture or foreign matter enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise or other malfunctions could occur. Always plug open fittings immediately after removing any refrigeration cycle parts.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

7.Disconnect the cooler hose (HI). Do not allow compressor oil to spill.<\/p>\n

8.Disconnect the cooler hose (LO). Do not allow compressor oil to spill.<\/p>\n

9.Remove the bolts.<\/p>\n

10.Remove the A\/C compressor. Do not allow compressor oil to spill. (See A\/C Compressor Installation Note<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

11.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n

12.Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

A\/C Compressor Installation Note<\/p>\n

Caution<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n

\u2022 Due to the high moisture-absorption characteristics of the compressor oil, it may absorb moisture if left over a long period of time thereby negatively affecting A\/C operation. Drain the compressor oil and refill within 10 min. of each other.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Rotate the new A\/C compressor shaft six to eight revolutions while pouring refrigerant oil into a clean measuring container. Use this refrigerant oil to refill the new compressor. Do not allow refrigerant oil to become contaminated.<\/p>\n

\n

2.Rotate the old A\/C compressor shaft six to eight revolutions while adding refrigerant oil to a separate, clean measuring container.<\/p>\n

\n

3.Compare the oil amounts. The amount of the oil drained from the new A\/C compressor should be more than the old one.<\/p>\n

\n

4.Add the same amount oil drained from the old A\/C compressor back into the new A\/C compressor.<\/p>\n
