Removal<\/p>\n

1.Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

2.Remove the front shock absorber and steering knuckle component. (See WHEEL HUB, STEERING KNUCKLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Secure the front shock absorber and steering knuckle component in a vise.<\/p>\n

\n

4.Remove the bolt and the nut shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

5.Install the SST<\/span> to the connection area of the front shock absorber and coil spring and the steering knuckle.<\/p>\n

6.Rotate the SST<\/span>90\u00b0<\/span> and disconnect the front shock absorber and coil spring from the steering knuckle.<\/p>\n

7.Remove the front shock absorber and coil spring and the steering knuckle.<\/p>\n

Installation<\/p>\n

1.Secure the steering knuckle in a vise.<\/p>\n

\n

2.Insert the front shock absorber and coil spring into the steering knuckle so that the front shock absorber bracket is contacted with the end face of the steering knuckle.<\/p>\n

3.Remove the SST<\/span>.<\/p>\n

4.Install a new bolt and nut in the direction shown below and tighten them to the specified torque.<\/p>\n

5.Install the front shock absorber and steering knuckle component. (See WHEEL HUB, STEERING KNUCKLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

6.If the front shock absorber and coil spring is replaced, inspect the wheel alignment and if necessary make adjustments. (See FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n
