Outline<\/p>\n

\u2022 If the driver continues to depress the accelerator pedal accidentally while asleep with the vehicle stopped and the engine running, the continuous high engine speed causes the temperature of the engine and exhaust system parts to increase. If the temperature of the engine and exhaust system parts increases, it may cause part damage. To prevent this, the PCM performs the temperature restriction control when the following operation conditions are met.<\/div>\n

\u2022 All of the following conditions are met:<\/div>\n

\u2015 Engine coolant temperature: 40 \u00b0C {104 \u00b0F} or more<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2015 While vehicle is stopped<\/div>\n
\u2015 Shift lever position is neutral (MTX)<\/div>\n
\u2015 Selector lever position is P or N position (ATX)<\/div>\n
\u2015 Accelerator pedal is depressed<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
