\u2022 When the vehicle is driven at approx. 65 km\/h {40 mph} to 140km\/h {87 mph} for approx. 20 min<\/span>, the connectivity master unit (CMU) sets the driver’s driving characteristics.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The connectivity master unit (CMU) resets the determined driving characteristics data when any of the following conditions is met.<\/div>\n

\u2015 Vehicle is stopped for 15 min or more<\/span><\/div>\n
\u2015 Vehicle is driven at less than approx. 65 km\/h {40 mph} for 30 min or more<\/span><\/div>\n

\u2022 When the following conditions are all met, the connectivity master unit (CMU) updates the driving characteristics continuously.<\/div>\n

\n
\u2015 Vehicle speed calculated by the connectivity master unit (CMU), based on wheel speed signals received via CAN communication from DSC HU\/CM, is approx. 65 km\/h {40 mph} or more and less than approx. 140 km\/h {87 mph}<\/span>.<\/div>\n
\u2015 More than 60 minutes have passed since the driver began driving vehicle<\/div>\n
\u2015 FSC does not recognizes a sharp curve<\/div>\n
\u2015 FSC recognizes white lines<\/div>\n
\u2015 The vehicle is not changing lanes<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\u2022 The connectivity master unit (CMU) calculates the driving time.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

Warning function<\/p>\n

\u2022 If the driver’s attention decreases, the connectivity master unit (CMU) sends the warning request signal to the instrument cluster and the body control module (BCM).<\/div>\n
\u2022 When the instrument cluster receives the warning request signal from the connectivity master unit (CMU), it displays the alert with \u201cTime for a Break\u201c message encouraging rest on the multi-information display and activates the buzzer.<\/div>\n

\n
\u2015 If the system does not operate normally, the connectivity master unit (CMU) sends the failure signal to the instrument cluster, and it displays the alert on the multi-information display.<\/div>\n
\u2015 After the system has displayed the first message encouraging rest, it does not display the next one until 60 minutes have passed.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\u2022 When the body control module (BCM) receives the warning request signal from the connectivity master unit (CMU), it outputs the warning signal to the front speaker.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The warning is not activated for approx. 60 min<\/span> after being activated once.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n

Operation<\/p>\n

1.The connectivity master unit (CMU) calculates the driving characteristics (1) based on the lane information from the forward sensing camera (FSC), the steering angle signal from EPS, the yaw rate signal and the wheel speed signal from the DSC HU\/CM.<\/p>\n

2.The connectivity master unit (CMU) calculates the driving time (2).<\/p>\n

3.The connectivity master unit (CMU) determines the driver\u2019s attention decreases (3).<\/p>\n

\n

4.The connectivity master unit (CMU) sends the warning request signal (4) to the instrument cluster and the body control module (BCM).<\/p>\n

5.When the instrument cluster receives the warning request signal (4) from the connectivity master unit (CMU) via the body control module (BCM), it displays the warning display on the multi-information display (5).<\/p>\n

\n

6.When the body control module (BCM) receives the warning request signal (4) from the connectivity master unit (CMU) via the body control module (BCM), it outputs the warning sound signal to the Notification and Warning Speaker (Front) (4) and the Notification and Warning Speaker (Front) sounds a warning.<\/p>\n
