Purpose<\/p>\n

\u2022 The front map lights shine light at the front of the vehicle interior.<\/div>\n

Function<\/p>\n

\u2022 The BCM detects the on\/off of the front map light switch and controls the on\/off of the rear map light.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Illuminates according to the lock condition of the driver’s door and open\/close conditions of the doors under the BCM control when the room light switch is in the DOOR position. (Bulb type)<\/div>\n
\u2022 Illuminates according to the lock condition of the driver’s door and open\/close conditions of the doors under the BCM control when the interior light door open interlock switch is on. (LED type)<\/div>\n

Construction<\/p>\n

\u2022 A bulb type or LED type is available for the front map lights.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The front map lights which are integrated with the sunglass holder have been adopted.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The front map light is positioned in the front part of the headliner.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The console ambient light is positioned in the front map light. (With console ambient light)<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Interior light door open interlock switch operation<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1. When any door is opened, the body control module (BCM) detects a door open signal.<\/div>\n
2. When the body control module (BCM) detects the door open signal, it sends (1) a front map light on request signal to the front map light via LIN communication.<\/div>\n
3. When the front map light receives the front map light on request signal, it turns the front map light on (2).<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
