Outline<\/p>\n

\u2022 When the door unlock operation is performed using the remote transmitter with the ignition switched off and the light switch in the HEAD, AUTO or TNS (parking lights) position *1<\/sup>, the leaving home light turns on the headlights LO and TNS (parking lights) for a specified time.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When approaching the vehicle in a parking lot where the area surrounding the vehicle is dark, the system is used for assuring visibility at the front of the vehicle by turning the headlights LO and TNS (parking lights) on.<\/div>\n

Leaving home light off timer function<\/p>\n

\u2022 When the BCM receives a door unlock request signal from the remote transmitter with the light switch in the TNS (parking lights), AUTO or HEAD position and the ignition switched off, it turns the headlights LO and the TNS (parking lights) on and operates the leaving home light off timer.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When the time on the leaving home light off timer ( 30 s<\/span>) has elapsed, the BCM turns the headlights LO and the TNS (parking lights) off. *2<\/sup><\/div>\n
\u2022 When the BCM receives a door lock request signal from the remote transmitter during leaving home light off timer operation, it turns the headlights LO and the TNS (parking lights) off. *2<\/sup><\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
*2 :If the light switch is in the TNS (parking lights) position, the TNS (parking lights) is not turned off.<\/div>\n

Light switch at HEAD or AUTO position<\/div>\n
1. When the unlock button on the remote transmitter is pressed, the body control module (BCM) detects (1) a door unlock request signal. For details on the door lock\/unlock operation using the remote transmitter, refer to the [ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM].(See KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM [(US)]<\/a>.) 2. The instrument cluster sends (2) a light switch signal to the body control module (BCM) via CAN communication.<\/div>\n
3. The body control module (BCM) sends (2) the door unlock request signal to the door-electrical supply unit.<\/div>\n
4. When the operation conditions are met, the body control module (BCM) turns the TNS and headlights LO on (3).<\/div>\n
5. After the leaving home light off timer has elapsed, the body control module (BCM) turns the TNS and headlights LO off (4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
