Purpose<\/p>\n

\u2022 The side turn lights are used to signal vehicles\/people at the side of the vehicle that the vehicle is going to make a right or left turn.<\/div>\n

\u2022 When the BCM receives a turn switch LH signal or turn switch RH signal sent via CAN communication from the instrument cluster , it flashes the side turn light.<\/div>\n

Turn light system<\/p>\n

1. When the turn switch is in the LH or RH position, the instrument cluster detects (1) a turn switch LH signal or turn switch RH signal.<\/div>\n
2. The instrument cluster sends (2) the turn switch LH signal or turn switch RH signal to the body control module (BCM) via CAN communication.<\/div>\n
3. When the body control module (BCM) receives the turn switch LH signal or turn switch RH signal with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on), it sends (3) a turn switch LH flash request signal or turn switch RH flash request signal to the door-electrical supply unit via CAN communication.<\/div>\n
4. When the door-electrical supply unit receives the turn switch LH flash request signal or turn switch RH flash request signal, it flashes (4) the side turn light (LH) or side turn light (RH).<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n

Hazard warning system<\/p>\n

1. When the hazard warning switch turns on, the instrument cluster detects (1) a hazard warning switch on signal.<\/div>\n
2. The instrument cluster sends (2) the hazard warning switch on signal to the instrument cluster via CAN communication as a turn switch LH signal and turn switch RH signal.<\/div>\n
3. When the body control module (BCM) receives the turn switch LH signal and turn switch RH signal, it sends (3) a turn switch LH flash request signal and turn switch RH flash request signal to the door-electrical supply unit via CAN communication.<\/div>\n
4. When the door-electrical supply unit receives the turn switch LH flash request signal and turn switch RH flash request signal, it flashes (4) the side turn light (LH) and side turn light (RH).<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n
