Purpose<\/p>\n

\u2022 The seat track position sensor detects that the slide position of the driver’s seat is at the most forward position or position other than most forward position.<\/div>\n

Function<\/p>\n

\u2022 The seat track position sensor transmits to the SAS control module that the slide position of the driver’s seat is at the most forward position or position other than most forward position by fluctuating the electric current of the Hall element built into the seat track position sensor and the metal plate position.<\/div>\n

Construction<\/p>\n

\u2022 The seat track position sensor is located on the seat rail movable part of the driver’s seat.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The metal plate is located on the seat rail securement area of the driver’s seat.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The seat track position sensor detects the metal plate on the seat rail securement area in conjunction with the slide of the driver’s seat.<\/div>\n
\u2022 The seat track position sensor has an integrated Hall element.<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Operation<\/p>\n

1.When the slide position of the driver’s seat is at the most forward position, the seat track position sensor does not detect the metal plate and the current output by the seat track position sensor increases.<\/p>\n

\n

2.When the slide position of the driver’s seat is any position other than the most forward position, the seat track position sensor detects the metal plate and the current output by the seat track position sensor decreases.<\/p>\n
