pedal is not depressed, and inhibits the selector lever from being shifted from the P position to other positions.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If the shift-lock cannot be released by the normal class=\"list\">\u2015 Ignition is switched to ON<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 Brake pedal is depressed (brake light switch is on)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"id05180014030005\" id=\"id05180014030005\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"topic-title\">Shift-lock operation conditions (shift-lock release conditions not satisfied)<\/p>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 When the shift-lock release conditions are not met, the shift-lock operates (The selector lever cannot be moved to any position other than P).<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 Because there is no energization to the shift-lock solenoid at this time, the shift-lock solenoid is not energized.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 As a result, the lock slider is in the position shown in the figure and the movement of the guide pin in the downward direction is controlled by the lock slider.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 For selector levers in which movement is controlled by the guide pin, the selector lever cannot be moved to a position other than the P position.<\/p>\n<p class=\"figure-title\">L.H.D.<\/p>\n<table energization to the shift-lock solenoid.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 As a result, the lock slider moves in the direction shown by arrow (1) in the figure.
