Purpose<\/p>\n

\u2022 The AUTOHOLD switch switches between the enabling\/disabling of the AUTOHOLD.<\/div>\n

Functions<\/p>\n

\u2022 The AUTOHOLD switch displays the AUTOHOLD condition by turning on\/flashing the built-in indicator light (AUTOHOLD standby indicator light).<\/div>\n
\u2022 When the AUTOHOLD switch is pressed while the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light is off, the AUTOHOLD is enabled and the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light turns on. When the AUTOHOLD switch is pressed while the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light is on, the AUTOHOLD is disabled and the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light turns off.<\/div>\n

Electric parking brake operation<\/p>\n

\u2022 When the AUTOHOLD switch is pressed, the contact point in the AUTOHOLD switch closes. When a finger is released from the AUTOHOLD switch, the contact point in the AUTOHOLD switch opens automatically.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1. When the AUTOHOLD switch is operated, it sends an AUTOHOLD switch operation signal (1) to the ESU.<\/div>\n
2. The ESU sends the AUTOHOLD switch operation signal (2) to the DSC HU\/CM via CAN communication.<\/div>\n
3. When the DSC HU\/CM receives the AUTOHOLD switch operation signal, it switches the AUTOHOLD on\/off (3).<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n

AUTOHOLD standby indicator light<\/p>\n

\u2022 The ESU receives an AUTOHOLD standby indicator light on\/flash\/off signal from the DSC HU\/CM and turns on\/off or flashes the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When the AUTOHOLD is enabled, the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light turns on. When the AUTOHOLD is disabled, the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light turns off.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When any of the following conditions are met with the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light on, the AUTOHOLD standby indicator light flashes.<\/div>\n

\u2015 Hold control or pressure increase control starts<\/div>\n
\u2015 Brake fluid pressure reduction starts<\/div>\n
\u2015 Engine stalls<\/div>\n
\u2015 Driver’s seat belt is not fastened<\/div>\n
