\u2022 The electric parking brake indicator light and brake control system warning light are integrated with the instrument cluster.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When the ignition is switched ON and if the system and CAN line of the electric parking brake are normal, the electric parking brake indicator light and brake control system warning light turn on for an open-circuit check and turn off after approx. 3 s<\/span>. At this time, when the electric parking brake is operating, the electric parking brake indicator light remains turned on. However, if the electric parking brake is released, the light turns off.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When the electric parking brake is operating, released, or malfunctioning, the electric parking brake indicator light and brake control system warning light operate as indicated in the table below.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

When the instrument cluster receives the electric parking brake indicator light on request signal, the transistor is turned on and the electric parking brake indicator light turns on.<\/div>\n
\u2022 If there is a malfunction in the electric parking brake, the DSC HU\/CM sends the brake control system warning light on request signal and electric parking brake indicator light on request signal. When the instrument cluster receives the brake control system warning light on request signal and electric parking brake indicator light on request signal, the transistor is turned on and the electric parking brake indicator light and brake control system warning light turn on.<\/div>\n
\u2022 If there is a malfunction in the electric parking brake, the DSC HU\/CM sends a electric parking brake indicator light flash request signal. When the instrument cluster receives the electric parking brake indicator light flash request signal, the transistor is turned on intermittently and the electric parking brake indicator light flashes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2015 The accelerator pedal is depressed when the electric parking brake is operating while the vehicle is stopped (door opened or driver seat belt unfastened)<\/div>\n
