\u2022 Handling a seat equipped with a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings\/cautions in the Workshop Manual before handling a front seat equipped with a side air bag. \u2022 When performing the procedure with a front seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Remove the front seat belt lower anchor. (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n

\n

3.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more<\/span>. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Remove the front seat side cover. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

5.Remove the screw.<\/p>\n

6.Remove the power seat switch in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

7.Disconnect the connectors.<\/p>\n

8.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
