Windshield Wiper Motor Inspection<\/p>\n

\u2022 The integrity of the windshield wiper motor cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the windshield wiper motor, perform the following procedure.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.<\/p>\n

\n

2.Perform the DTC inspection for the BCM and verify if any DTCs related to the windshield wiper motor is detected. (See DTC INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u2022 If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) (US)]<\/a>.)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n



\n<\/a><\/p>\n

Windshield Wiper Link Inspection<\/p>\n

1.Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).<\/p>\n

\n

2.Operate the windshield wipers at low speed.<\/p>\n

\n

3.Verify the following:<\/p>\n

\n

\u2022 Abnormal noise at the front wiper link part<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
\n
\u2022 Change in the operation range<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

4.If there is a malfunction, replace the windshield wiper motor and link. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n
