\u2022 The side air bag sensor is attached to the lower part of the B-pillar. When working around the B-pillar, disconnect the negative battery terminal or work carefully, avoiding excessive impact to the lower part of the B-pillar.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n

\n

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more<\/span>. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Set the front seat belt adjuster to the lowest position.<\/p>\n

\n

4.Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

\n

\n
(1)B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
\n
(2)Front seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n
<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

5.Remove the bolt.<\/p>\n

6.Remove the adjuster anchor.<\/p>\n

7.Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Bolt Installation Note<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

1.Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the figure.<\/p>\n
