(See <a href=\"SM2565818\">NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">2.Remove the air intake actuator. (See <a href=\"SM2566281\">AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER (US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">3.Connect the air intake actuator connector.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">4.Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">5.Operate the air intake actuator using the simulation function. (See <a href=\"SM2566281\">AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER (US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"id0740a280150002\" id=\"id0740a280150002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"servinfosub-title\">Position sensor inspection<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">1.Switch the ignition ON (engine on).<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">2.Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">3.Display PID \u201cINTAKE_ACTAT_MODE\u201d using the M-MDS. (See <a href=\"SM2337317\">PID\/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION<\/a>.)(See <a href=\"SM2335667\">PID\/DATA MONITOR TABLE [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">4.Operate the REC switch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">5.Verify that the PID value conforms to the REC switch operation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">6.If it cannot be verified, replace the air intake actuator.
