1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more<\/span>. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the following parts.<\/p>\n

\n
(1)Driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – MEXICO SPEC.]<\/a>.) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – MEXICO SPEC.]<\/a>.) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – US\/CANADA SPEC.]<\/a>.) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – US\/CANADA SPEC.]<\/a>.)<\/dd>\n

3.Remove the heated steering wheel control unit screws.<\/p>\n

4.Remove the heated steering wheel control unit from the steering wheel.<\/p>\n

5.Disconnect the clip.<\/p>\n

6.Disconnect the connector from the heated steering wheel control unit.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Be careful not to bend the connector tab.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

7.Peel off the plastic tape wrapped around the steering warmer control unit.<\/p>\n

\u2022 When installing the steering warmer control unit, wrap new plastic tape.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

8.Disconnect the heated steering wheel unit element from the heated steering wheel control unit.<\/p>\n

9.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
