1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the selector lever knob. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Remove the shift panel. (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Remove the front console box. (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

5.Remove the cup holder. (See CUP HOLDER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

6.Remove the side wall. (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

7.Remove the rear console. (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

8.Remove the rear console bracket No.1. (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

9.Shift the selector lever to the P position.<\/p>\n

\n

10.Move the safety lock in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and release the safety lock.<\/p>\n

11.Press the tabs of the adjuster case shown in the figure in the directions of arrows (1) shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

12.Press out the lock piece in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and release the lock.<\/p>\n

13.Set the manual shaft to the P position.<\/p>\n
