Oil Pressure Switch A<\/p>\n

1.Select the selector lever to P position.<\/p>\n

\n

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Remove the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

5.Clean the transaxle exterior throughout with a steam cleaner or cleaning solvents.<\/p>\n

\n

6.Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT [EV6A-EL, EV6AX-EL]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

7.Remove the oil pan.<\/p>\n

\n

8.Insert a precision flathead screwdriver and move it in the direction of the arrow to disconnect the oil pressure switch A connector as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Do not scratch the oil pressure switch A and oil pressure switch connector A with the precision flathead screwdriver.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When disconnecting connectors, grasp the connectors, not the wiring harnesses. Otherwise, the wiring harnesses may be pulled out of the connector causing poor contact.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

9.Remove the oil pressure switch A fitting bolts.<\/p>\n

10.Insert a flathead screwdriver as shown in the figure and remove oil pressure switch A from the control valve body while avoiding contact with the oil pan installation surface.<\/p>\n

11.Install the oil pressure switch A to the control valve body.<\/p>\n

12.Install the oil pressure switch A fitting bolts.<\/p>\n

14.Apply a light coat of silicone sealant (TB1217E or equivalent) to the contact surfaces of the oil pan and transaxle case.<\/p>\n

15.Install the oil pan with new bolts before the applied sealant starts to harden.<\/p>\n

19.Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

20.Perform the \u201cInitial Learning\u201d (Oil pressure switch A replacement). (See INITIAL LEARNING [EV6A-EL, EV6AX-EL]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

Oil Pressure Switch B<\/p>\n

2.Remove the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

3.Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Clean the transaxle exterior throughout with a steam cleaner or cleaning solvents.<\/p>\n

\n

8.Remove the oil strainer O-ring. (See CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [EV6A-EL, EV6AX-EL]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

9.Insert a precision flathead screwdriver and move it in the direction of the arrow to disconnect the oil pressure switch B connector as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n
