\u2022 After replacing the coupling component, read out the characteristic value of a new coupling component and write it to the PCM. (See COUPLING COMPONENT CALIBRATION DATA WRITING<\/a>.)<\/div>\n
\u2022 Read out the characteristic value of the coupling component from the label or mark shown in the figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Drain the rear differential oil into a container. (See DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Remove the tunnel cover. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Remove the following parts: (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

5.Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n

6.Disconnect the connector shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

8.Set the bracket aside.<\/p>\n

9.Remove the TWC from the mount rubber.<\/p>\n

11.Suspend the TWC using a cable as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n

12.Disconnect the AWD solenoid connector and harness clip.<\/p>\n

14.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n

15.Add the specified rear differential oil. (See DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

16.After replacing the coupling component, read out the characteristic value of a new coupling component and write it to the PCM. (See COUPLING COMPONENT CALIBRATION DATA WRITING<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Clean away the remaining silicone sealant before applying new silicone sealant.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Install the coupling component before the applied silicone sealant starts to harden.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Add rear differential oil after the silicone sealant hardens.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Apply a thin layer of silicone sealant TB1217C to the contact surfaces of the coupling component and the rear differential.<\/p>\n
