Verify that no DTCs related to the APP sensor or throttle valve actuator are stored before the inspection.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3-label\">Note<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3 list\">\u2022 The TP sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the TP sensor, replace it together with the throttle body as a single unit.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><br clear=\"all\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"id0140h480270001\" id=\"id0140h480270001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"servinfosub-title\">Function Inspection<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">1.Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">2.Switch the ignition ON (engine off).<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">3.Display the PIDs TP1 and TP2. (See <a href=\"SM2337317\">PID\/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">4.Compare the voltage and opening angle indications for the PIDs TP1 and TP2 with the standard in the table indicated below.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If they do not match the standard, perform the voltage inspection. (See <a href=\"SM2337317\">PID\/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If verified, go to the next step.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If it cannot be verified, replace the throttle body. (See <a href=\"SM2565705\">INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p class=\"list\">4.Verify that the TP sensor output voltage (PID: TP1, TP2) is within the specification when the accelerator pedal is depressed and not depressed.
