Function Inspection<\/p>\n

1.Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.<\/p>\n

\n

2.Switch the ignition ON (engine off).<\/p>\n

\n

3.Display the PIDs TP1 and TP2. (See PID\/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Compare the voltage and opening angle indications for the PIDs TP1 and TP2 with the standard in the table indicated below.<\/p>\n

\u2022 If they do not match the standard, perform the voltage inspection. (See Voltage Inspection<\/a>.)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

Voltage Inspection<\/p>\n

1.Connect the M-MDS to the DLC\u20102.<\/p>\n

\n

2.Switch the ignition ON (engine off).<\/p>\n

\n

3.Verify that the TP sensor output voltage (PID: TP1, TP2) varies according to the accelerator opening angle when the accelerator opening angle is gradually increased. (See PID\/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u2022 If verified, go to the next step.<\/div>\n
\u2022 If it cannot be verified, replace the throttle body. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

4.Verify that the TP sensor output voltage (PID: TP1, TP2) is within the specification when the accelerator pedal is depressed and not depressed. (See PID\/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n
