\u2022 Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When the battery terminals are connected, touching the vehicle body with starter terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the negative battery terminal before performing the following operation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the following parts as a single unit: (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Air cleaner cover<\/div>\n
\u2022 Air cleaner element<\/div>\n
\u2022 Air cleaner case<\/div>\n
\u2022 Fresh-air duct<\/div>\n
\u2022 Resonance chamber<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

3.Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Remove in the order indicated in the table.<\/p>\n

\n

5.Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n
