(See <a href=\"SM2565818\">NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">4.Connect a tester, which can read <span>120 A or more<\/span>, between generator terminal B and generator terminal B cable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">5.Connect the negative battery terminal. (See <a href=\"SM2565818\">NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">6.Turn off all electrical loads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">7.Start the engine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">8.Increase engine speed to <span>2,500 rpm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3-label\">Note<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"attention3\">\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 When the electrical load on the vehicle is low, the specified current cannot be verified although the generator is normal. In this case, increase the electrical load (Leave the headlights turned on for a while, then discharge the battery, or use a similar method.) and recheck.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If the generator itself or the ambient temperature are too high, the specified current also cannot be verified. In this case, cool down the generator and recheck.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p class=\"list\">9.With the electric loads such as headlights, blower motor, rear window defogger, brake lights turned on, verify that the current increases.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2015 If not as specified, replace the generator.
