All tester displays should be off at this time.<\/dd>\n<dd><\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"list\">\n<dd>(2)Connect the long hose (part of tester) to the tester.<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<table class=\"figure-flame\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"10mm\"><\/td>\n<td>\n<table class=\"figure-float\" cellspacing=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/assets\/ac5uuw00002689.png\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div class=\"figure-caption\">ac5uuw00002689<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"list\">\n<dd>(3)Connect the manifold assembly (part of tester) to the long hose as shown.<\/dd>\n<dd><\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"list\">\n<dd>(4)Open the gas cylinder valve and verify the gas cylinder regulator left gauge reads <span>69\u201482 kPa {0.71\u20140.83 kgf\/cm<sup>2<\/sup>, 10\u201412 psi}<\/span> (preset at factory).<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If not, refer to the tester operators manual to contact tester manufacturer.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"list\">\n<dd>(5)Press the ON\/OFF switch to turn on the <span>SST<\/span> and make sure the left display reads <span>0.0<\/span>.<\/dd>\n<dd><\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"list\">\n<dd>(6)Turn the control valve on the tester to the FILL position.<\/dd>\n<dd><\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"list\">\n<dd>(7)Verify the left display reading is <span>within 13.9<\/span> to <span>14.0<\/span> in of water.<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If not, adjust the pressure using the regulator knob located on the right side of the tester.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"list\">\n<dd>(8)Turn the control valve to TEST position and press the START switch.<\/dd>\n<dd><\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<dl class=\"list\">\n<dd>(9)After the <span>2-min<\/span> countdown (left display) is completed, the right display shows the total pressure loss for that period. A <span>0.5<\/span> in of water loss is acceptable on the self-test.<\/dd>\n<dd>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If the loss is <span>more than tester0.5<\/span> in of water, do one or more self-test. If the failed test repeats, check for leak using the ultrasonic leak detector (part of tester).<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p class=\"list\">2.Press the RESET switch to set the left display reading to <span>0.0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">3.Connect the fuel cap receiver assembly (part of tester) to the manifold assembly and fuel-filler cap from the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If the fuel-filler cap is not a genuine part, replace it.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<table class=\"figure-flame\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"10mm\"><\/td>\n<td>\n<table class=\"figure-float\" cellspacing=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/assets\/ac5uuw00002690.png\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div class=\"figure-caption\">ac5uuw00002690<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p class=\"list\">4.Turn the control valve to the FILL position.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">5.Wait (<span>maximum 20 s<\/span>) until the left display reads <span>13.9<\/span> to <span>14.0<\/span> in of water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If the reading is slightly below the specification, adjust it using the regulator knob.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If the reading is far below, the fuel-filler cap has a leak. Replace it.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p class=\"list\">6.Turn the control valve to the TEST position and press the START switch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<p class=\"list\">7.After the <span>2-min<\/span> countdown (left display) is completed, check the test result (the failed\/passed light on the tester).<\/p>\n<p class=\"list\">\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If the green light turns on, the fuel-filler cap is normal.<\/div>\n<div class=\"list\">\u2022 If the red light turns on, the fuel-filler cap has a leak.
