\u2022 Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Highly pressurized fuel may spray out if the fuel line is cut. Due to the following dangers occurring with a fuel spray, always complete the \u201cFuel Line Safety Procedure\u201d to prevent the fuel from spraying.<\/div>\n

\u2015 Fuel may cause irritation if it comes in contact with skin and eyes.<\/div>\n
\u2015 If fuel ignites and causes a fire, it may lead to serious injury or death, and damage to property and facilities.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

Fuel Line Safety Procedure<\/p>\n

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the fuel-filler cap to release the pressure inside the fuel tank.<\/p>\n

\n

3.Remove the fuel pump relay.<\/p>\n

4.Disconnect the high pressure fuel pump connector.<\/p>\n

5.Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

6.Start the engine.<\/p>\n

\n

7.After the engine stalls, crank the engine 2\u20143 times.<\/p>\n

\n

8.Switch the ignition to off.<\/p>\n

\n

9.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

10.Install the fuel pump relay.<\/p>\n

11.Connect the high pressure fuel pump connector.<\/p>\n
