\u2022 Never remove the cooling system cap or loosen the radiator drain plug while the engine is running, or when the engine and radiator are hot. Scalding engine coolant and steam may shoot out and cause serious injury. It may also damage the engine and cooling system.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool. Even then, be very careful when removing the cap. Wrap a thick cloth around it and slowly turn it counterclockwise to the first stop. Step back while the pressure escapes.<\/div>\n
\u2022 When you are sure all the pressure is gone, press down on the cap using the cloth, turn it, and remove it.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION [(US)]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

2.Remove the front under cover No.1 and the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)(See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

3.Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\n

4.Remove the following parts as a single unit: (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (US))]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Air hose<\/div>\n
\u2022 Air cleaner cover<\/div>\n
\u2022 Air cleaner element<\/div>\n
\u2022 Air cleaner case<\/div>\n
\u2022 Fresh-air duct<\/div>\n
\u2022 Resonance chamber<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

5.Remove or disconnect the following parts;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Clip<\/div>\n
\u2022 Fastener<\/div>\n
\u2022 Wiring harness clip<\/div>\n
\u2022 Connector<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n\n\n\n
