US/CANADA SPEC

Front (Driver-side buckle switch)

1.Switch the ignition off.

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)

3.Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)].)

4.Remove the front buckle. (See FRONT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)].)

5.Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.

• If not as indicated in the table, replace the front buckle.

Front (Passenger-side buckle switch)

1.Since the buckle switch cannot be inspected separately, perform air bag DTC inspection. (See DTC B0052:09, B0052:11 OR B0052:14 [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM – US/CANADA SPEC.)].)

Rear

1.Switch the ignition off.

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)

3.Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.Remove the rear buckle. (See REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.

• If not as indicated in the table, replace the rear buckle.

MEXICO SPEC

Front

1.Switch the ignition off.

5.Inspect for continuity between the buckle switch terminals using a tester.
