Warning
• Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the Workshop Manual before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated). 1.Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).

2.Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)

3.Slide hooks A in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and disconnect them from hooks B.

4.Open fasteners.

5.Disconnect the lumber support motor connector.

6.Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to the lumbar support motor terminals as indicated in the table below and verify the front seat operation condition.

• If the operation cannot be verified as indicated in the table, replace the front seat back frame. (See FRONT SEAT BACK FRAME DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [(US)].)
