• When removing the high-mount brake light, the procedure can be facilitated by folding down the rear seat.

1.Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)].)

2.Remove the rear scuff plate. (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.Remove the c-pillar trim. (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.Remove the tire house trim. (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

7.Remove the rear package trim. (See REAR PACKAGE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8.Remove the connector.

9.Remove the screws.

10.While lift up the high-mount brake light in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the high-mount brake light in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure.

11.Remove the high-mount brake light.

12.Install in the reverse order of removal.

2.Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.Remove the screws.

5.Remove the cover.

6.Remove the clip.

7.Disconnect the connector.

8.Remove the short cord.

9.Remove the screws.

10.Remove the high-mount brake light.

11.Install in the reverse order of removal.
