Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between SAS control module terminal and passenger-side lap pre-tensioner seat belt terminal.<\/p>\n

    \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n

    Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for a short to ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Replace the malfunctioning part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \n If there is no common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
    • \n

      Replace the wiring harness which has a short to ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Lap pre-tensioner seat belt and SAS control module connectors are disconnected.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Inspect for continuity between the following terminals (wiring harness-side):<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Passenger-side lap pre-tensioner seat belt terminal A\u2014SAS control module terminal 2J<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Passenger-side lap pre-tensioner seat belt terminal B\u2014SAS control module terminal 2M<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n

      NOTE:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

        \n
      • \n

        Inspect for continuity while shaking the wiring harness between the SAS control module and passenger-side lap pre-tensioner seat belt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • \n

          Is there continuity?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between SAS control module terminal and passenger-side lap pre-tensioner seat belt terminal.<\/p>\n

    \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n

    Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for a short to power supply.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
