Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Passenger\u2019s side scuff plate (See <a href=\"SM356211\">SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Passenger\u2019s side front side trim (See <a href=\"SM356199\">FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Passenger\u2019s side A-pillar trim (See <a href=\"SM356198\">A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Passenger-side lower panel (See <a href=\"SM356210\">PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the screw.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005658.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005658.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the side duct.<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the duct.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Connect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Switch the ignition ON (engine on).<\/p>\n<p>            8. Set the fan speed to MAX HI.<\/p>\n<p>            9. Set the temperature control to MAX COLD.<\/p>\n<p>            10. Set to the RECIRCULATE mode.<\/p>\n<p>            11. Turn the A\/C switch off.<\/p>\n<p>            12. Close all doors and windows.<\/p>\n<p>            13. Wait for <b>5 min<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>            14. Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n<p>            15. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            16. Disconnect the short cord connector.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004912.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004912.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            17. Measure the temperature at the blower inlet.<\/p>\n<p>            18. Measure the resistance between the short cord connector terminals E and H.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004913.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004913.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If the resistance is not as shown in the graph, replace the evaporator and short cord.
