Remove the flywheel. (See <a href=\"SM353139\">CLUTCH UNIT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Perform the following procedure to inspect the flywheel.<\/p>\n<p>              a. Inspect the surface that contacts the clutch disc for scratches, nicks, and discoloration.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005217.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005217.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>Correct slight scratches and discoloration using sandpaper.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>              b. Inspect the ring gear teeth for damage and wear.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If there is any malfunction, replace the flywheel.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>              c. Inspect the runout of the surface that contacts the clutch disc.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005218.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005218.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>                i. Install the flywheel. (See <a href=\"SM353139\">CLUTCH UNIT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>                ii. Measure the runout of the surface that contacts the clutch disc using a dial gauge.<\/p>\n<ul>\n                    <b>Flywheel maximum runout<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>0.1 mm {0.004 in}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If it exceeds the maximum, replace the flywheel.
