Clutch fluid contains properties which can dissolve the paint. If clutch fluid gets on a painted surface, rinse with water immediately, then wipe the area dry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id05100015680001\" id=\"id05100015680001\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Removal<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.(See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Shift lever knob (See <a href=\"SM353149\">TRANSMISSION REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [M66M-D]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Shift panel component (See <a href=\"SM356197\">SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Upper panel (See <a href=\"SM356228\">UPPER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Parking brake lever boot panel (See <a href=\"SM356180\">PARKING BRAKE LEVER BOOT PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              e. Rear console (See <a href=\"SM356194\">REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              f. Front console panel (See <a href=\"SM356230\">FRONT CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              g. Driver-side side wall (See <a href=\"SM356196\">SIDE WALL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              h. Driver-side scuff plate (See <a href=\"SM356211\">SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              i. Driver-side front side trim (See <a href=\"SM356199\">FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              j. Driver-side A-pillar trim (See <a href=\"SM356198\">A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              k. Bonnet release lever (See <a href=\"SM356088\">HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              l. Driver-side lower panel (See <a href=\"SM356209\">DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              m. Accelerator pedal (See <a href=\"SM352725\">ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              n. Electrical supply unit (ESU) cover (See <a href=\"SM356373\">ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (ESU) REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the connector on the vehicle wiring harness side for the starter interlock switch.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004845.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004845.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the clutch pedal position switch. (See <a href=\"SM353146\">CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the starter interlock switch. (See <a href=\"SM353147\">STARTER INTERLOCK SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Disconnect the clutch pipe No.1 from clutch master cylinder, and plug it to avoid clutch fluid leakage. (See <a href=\"SM353137\">CLUTCH PIPE AND HOSE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Disconnect the clutch reserve hose from clutch master cylinder, and plug it to avoid clutch fluid leakage. (See <a href=\"SM353137\">CLUTCH PIPE AND HOSE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Remove the clutch master cylinder using the following procedure:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Remove the clutch pedal. (See <a href=\"SM353135\">CLUTCH PEDAL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Rotate the clutch master cylinder in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to disconnect the clutch master cylinder (body) and clutch pedal.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004846.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004846.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>              c. Disengage the tabs of the push rod and remove the clutch master cylinder.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004847.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004847.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id05100015680002\" id=\"id05100015680002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Installation<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Install the clutch master cylinder using the following procedure:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Engage the tabs of the push rod with the clutch pedal as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004847.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004847.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>              b. Rotate the clutch master cylinder in the direction shown until it stops.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004848.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004848.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>              c. Install the clutch pedal. (See <a href=\"SM353135\">CLUTCH PEDAL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Connect the clutch reserve hose to clutch master cylinder. (See <a href=\"SM353137\">CLUTCH PIPE AND HOSE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Connect the clutch pipe No.1 to clutch master cylinder. (See <a href=\"SM353137\">CLUTCH PIPE AND HOSE REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Bleed the air from the clutch system.(See <a href=\"SM353148\">CLUTCH FLUID REPLACEMENT\/AIR BLEEDING<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Inspect the clutch pedal height, and verify that the clutch pedal is installed correctly. (See <a href=\"SM353134\">CLUTCH PEDAL INSPECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. Install a new starter interlock switch. (See <a href=\"SM353147\">STARTER INTERLOCK SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Install a new clutch pedal position switch. (See <a href=\"SM353146\">CLUTCH PEDAL POSITION SWITCH REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Connect the connector on the vehicle wiring harness side for the starter interlock switch.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004845.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004845.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            9.
