Verify that the clutch fluid is between the MIN mark and the MAX mark.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005097.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00005097.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Verify that there is no clutch fluid leakage. (See <a href=\"SM353145\">CLUTCH FLUID LEAKAGE INSPECTION<\/a>.)<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id05100015660002\" id=\"id05100015660002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Pedal Height Inspection<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Perform \u201cPedal Inspection Preparation\u201d. (See <a href=\"\"#id05100015660001\">Pedal Inspection Preparation<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Measure the pedal height with the clutch pedal released as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AC5UUW00000697.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AC5UUW00000697.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Pedal height (reference value)<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>153.6 mm {6.047 in}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If it is not the specification, replace the clutch pedal. (See <a href=\"SM353135\">CLUTCH PEDAL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id05100015660003\" id=\"id05100015660003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Pedal Free Play Inspection<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Perform \u201cPedal Inspection Preparation\u201d. (See <a href=\"\"#id05100015660001\">Pedal Inspection Preparation<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Depress the clutch pedal by hand until clutch resistance is felt, and measure the pedal free play as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZW00009972.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZW00009972.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Pedal free play (reference value)<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>7.4 mm {0.29 in} or less<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If it exceeds the specification, replace the clutch pedal. (See <a href=\"SM353135\">CLUTCH PEDAL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id05100015660004\" id=\"id05100015660004\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Pedal Full Stroke Inspection<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Perform \u201cPedal Inspection Preparation\u201d. (See <a href=\"\"#id05100015660001\">Pedal Inspection Preparation<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Depress the clutch pedal from the released condition to the full depression position, and measure the pedal full stroke as shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AC5UUW00000698.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AC5UUW00000698.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Pedal full stroke (reference value)<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>117.9 mm {4.642 in}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If it is not the specification, replace the clutch pedal. (See <a href=\"SM353135\">CLUTCH PEDAL REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id05100015660005\" id=\"id05100015660005\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Clutch Disengagement Point Inspection<\/h4>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">WARNING:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>When performing the clutch disengagement point inspection, always set the wheel blocks, set the parking brake, depress the brake pedal, and then perform the inspection with the brakes in operation. Otherwise, the vehicle could lurch and cause an accident.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Perform \u201cPedal Inspection Preparation\u201d. (See <a href=\"\"#id05100015660001\">Pedal Inspection Preparation<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Verify that the pedal height is normal. (See <a href=\"\"#id05100015660002\">Pedal Height Inspection<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Verify that the pedal free play is normal. (See <a href=\"\"#id05100015660003\">Pedal Free Play Inspection<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Verify that the pedal full stroke is normal. (See <a href=\"\"#id05100015660004\">Pedal Full Stroke Inspection<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Apply the parking brake and fix the front and rear wheels with wheel chocks.<\/p>\n<p>            6. Start the engine.<\/p>\n<p>            7. With the clutch pedal depressed, move the shift lever to the position just before engaging the reverse gear. (Do not shift completely to reverse position)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Gradually release the clutch pedal and then hold it at the point where the sound of gear-grinding begins (clutch disengagement point).<\/p>\n<p>            9. Measure distance A as shown in the figure when the clutch pedal is at the clutch disengagement point.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZW00009973.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZW00009973.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Distance A (reference value)<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>55.8 mm {2.20 in} or more<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If it is less than the specification, bleed the air from the clutch system.
