    Vehicle condition: TCM normal during engine rotation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Status: Detects short to power supply in shift solenoid F signal system<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Period: Confirmed 5 times in 0.1 s or more<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION<\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

    Inhibits learning control.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Inhibits the manual shift control.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

\n INSPECT TCM CONNECTOR FOR POOR CONNECTION<\/b><\/p>\n

    Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Disconnect the TCM connector.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Inspect for poor connection at TCM terminals 2Z and 2O (such as damaged\/pulled-out pins, corrosion).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Are terminals normal?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Repair or replace the connector and\/or terminal, then go to Step 7.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID F CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY<\/b><\/p>\n

    Switch the ignition ON (engine off).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Measure the voltage at TCM (wiring harness-side) terminals 2Z and 2O.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Is there 0 V<\/b> at the TCM wiring harness-side connector terminals?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to go to Step 7.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID F CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY<\/b><\/p>\n

  • \n

    Switch the ignition off.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Disconnect the coupler component connector.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Switch the ignition ON (engine off).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Measure the voltage at TCM (wiring harness-side) terminals 2Z and 2O.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Is there 0 V<\/b> at the TCM wiring harness-side connector terminals?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between the following terminals:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • \n

    TCM terminal 2Z\u2014Coupler component terminal F<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    TCM terminal 2O\u2014Coupler component terminal E<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
    • \n

      Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for a short to power supply.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \n If there is no common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
      • \n

        Repair or replace the wiring harness which has a short to power supply.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Go to Step 7.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID F<\/b><\/p>\n\n

Repair or replace the wiring harness (coupler component connector\u2014shift solenoid F) for short to power supply, then go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Replace the control valve body, then go to the next step.<\/p>\n
