\n INSPECT FUSE CONDITION<\/b><\/p>\n

  • \n

    Is the fuse (SRS1 7.5A, ABS\/DSC S 30A, ABS\/DSC M 50A) normal?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n
    \n
  • \n

    If the fuse is blown:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between fuse and DSC HU\/CM terminal I, A and B.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
      • \n

        Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for a short to ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          \n If there is no common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
        • \n

          Repair or replace the wiring harness which has a short to ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Replace the fuse.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n

        • \n

          If the fuse is damaged:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            \n
          • \n

            Replace the fuse.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n

            Go to Step7.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

5<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n INSPECT DSC HU\/CM POWER CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT<\/b><\/p>\n
    \n
  • \n

    Switch the ignition OFF.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Disconnect the DSC HU\/CM connector.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Switch the ignition ON (engine off).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Measure the voltage as followings:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      \n
    • \n

      DSC HU\/CM terminal I (wiring harness-side)\u2014body ground<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      DSC HU\/CM terminal A (wiring harness-side)\u2014body ground<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      DSC HU\/CM terminal B (wiring harness-side)\u2014body ground<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • \n

      Is the voltage 10 V or more<\/b>?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next Step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector in the followings.<\/p>\n

    \n
  • \n

    Battery\u2014DSC HU\/CM terminal I<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Battery\u2014DSC HU\/CM terminal A<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Battery\u2014DSC HU\/CM terminal B<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
    • \n

      Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for an open circuit.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \n If there is no common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
      • \n

        Repair or replace the wiring harness which has an open circuit.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Go to Step7.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

6<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n INSPECT DSC HU\/CM GROUND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT OR POOR GROUND<\/b><\/p>\n
    \n
  • \n

    Switch the ignition OFF.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Disconnect the DSC HU\/CM connector.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Measure the resistance between DSC HU\/CM terminal AK (wiring harness-side) and body ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Is the resistance 0\u20141 ohm<\/b>?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n
    \n
  • \n

    If the open circuit could be detected in the wiring harness:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between DSC HU\/CM terminal AK and body ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
      • \n

        Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for an open circuit.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          \n If there is no common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
        • \n

          Repair or replace the wiring harness which has an open circuit.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • \n

          Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • \n

          If the resistance is out of specification:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            \n
          • \n

            Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between DSC HU\/CM terminal AK and body ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              \n If there is a common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
            • \n

              Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for a poor ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                \n If there is no common connector:<\/b><\/p>\n
              • \n

                Repair or replace the wiring harness which has a poor ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • \n

                Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

7<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED<\/b><\/p>\n\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Repeat the inspection from Step1<\/p>\n

If the malfunction recurs, replace the DSC HU\/CM, then go to the next step.<\/p>\n

No<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

Go to the next step.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Are any DTCs present?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

Yes<\/p>\n<\/td>\n
